my sincere apologies

i'm sorry i havent been keeping in touch,
i have no excuse to give,
i hope you dont think me mean or such,
i've just been trying to live.

but if you can accept my sincere apology,
it would make my heart beam,
coz losing a friend like you would be a tragedy,
it would be like a bad dream.

p.s. i really did write this myself,
i hope you dont think its a forwarded note,
its not like i took it off a shelf,
but rather a message filled with sincere apologies and hope.
